I believe that sometimes the most generous thing we can offer to others is the understanding that we’re all going to change and we are only, in this moment, here like this for the briefest of time. In this moment, I am a writer, a therapist, and a person rooted in those who I love.

My work as a therapist has looked like so many things over the past few years. At times, it’s looked like reading poetry with clients and other times it’s looked like creating roadmaps of past traumas and helping to lift a metaphorical wall that’s blocking a way through. Most consistently, I work and prioritize work with queer and trans BIPOC navigating intersections of joy and grief. The work is hard, complicated, nuanced – undoubtedly – but I can assure you, there are multiple right ways forward. My only intention as a therapist is my clients’ arrival to their own unwavering liberation in their life.

I most enjoy working with clients who are ready to think critically about themselves and others. Can you ask yourself the hard question? Then, can you be honest when you answer?
