OUR PRACTICE
A city scene with a tall building, a train on an elevated track, and a street lamp against a clear sky.

Liberation Therapy Collective was born from the lived experiences and shared stories of queer and trans, Brown and Black clinicians navigating a private practice landscape that has too often excluded the very people doing this work. This collective was created to build something different: one that reflects the full self in a liberation movement. We hope this practice will be a mirror for our own QTBIPOC communities. We hope this collection only grows with time as an extension of collective wisdom, working and fighting for the liberation that is ours.

At its heart, Liberation Therapy Collective is a home for stories of healing, resilience, and transformation. Every clinician, client, couple, therapy group, and team member who arrives here carries a unique narrative shaped by both struggle and possibility. We are honored to witness those stories and to nurture a space where healing begins.

Practice owner Christie Sanchez-Pagano founded and launched Liberation Therapy Collective in January of 2026 with a vision to grow intentionally, creatively, and always in alignment with LT’s values. Christie is first and foremost a writer.

OUR MISSION

The definition of liberation is: the process of dismantling systems of oppression with the goal of achieving emancipation for all living beings and promoting new, just futures. 2. The act of living without limits or constraint.

Liberation Therapy Collective exists to center the mental health and healing of queer, trans, Brown, and Black communities. We are committed to fostering spaces where QTBIPOC individuals are supported in their liberation journey while actively challenging the systems of oppression that impact marginalized communities. We believe that the pursuit of liberation is both deeply personal and inherently collective, and our work is rooted in creating space for people to live with autonomy, agency, and justice.
